In this section, we will be running through how to start a structure with DealStudio. The three ways are:

  1. Create a new structure
  2. Load a previous deal structure from a configuration

Navigation

Whether you want to create a new structure or utilize a prior deal, users can either select Create or Load to access the different options to start their structure.

Create a New Structure

Users will need to define the securitization properties for their structure after selecting Create. Securitization Properties would include:

  • Structure Name - custom name for deal
  • Settlement Date - when the deal fully closes
  • Collection Date - when collection on the collateral begins
  • First Payment Date - first date on payment of the securitization
  • Distribution and Collection Day - exact date each month for each respective variable
  • Distribution Month Offset - lookback between the collection and distribution month

Once the Securitization Properties are filled out, a Save button will be activated.
